Description

• Support project teams by researching, evaluating, and recommending building products, systems, materials, and construction methods.
• Ensure alignment between inhouse project specifications and consultant specifications, facilitating seamless coordination across disciplines.
• Prepare comprehensive project specifications for assignments of varying scale, complexity, and building type, working closely with project managers and design teams.
• Plan, schedule, and manage your specification workload to meet tight deadlines in a fastpaced environment.
• Maintain strong knowledge of current industry trends, new technologies, and evolving code requirements through proactive research and ongoing communication with manufacturers and technical experts.
• Build and maintain professional relationships with product representatives and industry specialists to validate and enhance specification accuracy.
• Develop, maintain, and update firmwide master specifications in coordination with other Page specification writers.

Requirements

• Exceptional judgment, attention to detail, and strong organizational skills.Familiarity with eSpec or similar specification software preferred.
• Bachelor’s degree in architecture, Engineering, or Construction Management.
• Strong ability to interpret, evaluate, and communicate requirements for materials, products, and workmanship.
• CSI Certified Construction Specifier (CCS) credential preferred.
• 10–15 years of experience in the design and construction industry, with demonstrated expertise in specification writing.
