The Materials, Inventory Control position pays $22‑$26 per hour and operates under indirect supervision. The role is responsible for proper handling of materials, ensuring correct distribution, timely supply to work areas, and verifying accurate inventory control.
Key functions include supporting inventory control by addressing discrepancies, evaluating inventory forecasts, executing exception messages, and expediting materials. The employee follows up on receipt issues such as ASN and purchase orders, prepares reports, escalates shortages internally and with sourcing, and maintains system reliability to keep inventory at established levels. Additional duties involve identifying materials needed for production plans, procuring raw materials, shipping products, providing feedback to suppliers on excess inventory, and assisting the production planner with any additional tasks.
The role requires strict adherence to plant safety policies, environmental management system requirements, and all applicable legal regulations. The employee ensures accuracy in receiving, provides supporting data for shipping and inventory analysis, collaborates with product managers, customer service representatives, and service providers, and supports supplier evaluations for key services or products. Compliance with Toro’s file management policies for information handling, retention, and record destruction is also required.
Qualifications include a high school diploma or equivalent and at least one year of relevant experience. Candidates should be proficient with computer systems, with SAP expertise preferred, and possess excellent communication skills at all levels.
