The Planning Function delivers certainty and performance across sectors such as rail, highways, utilities, nuclear, defence and aviation. As a Senior Planner you will drive the successful delivery of complex projects and programmes, developing integrated schedules, providing expert guidance and supporting project controls reporting.
- Develop and manage integrated project and programme schedules ensuring logical sequencing and critical‑path integrity.
- Lead planning input across bids, mobilisation and delivery phases, providing scheduling strategy and governance.
- Perform schedule analysis, including critical‑path, scenario and "what‑if" modelling, delivering mitigation options.
- Integrate schedule, cost and risk data to support QSRA and project‑controls reporting.
- Maintain schedule baselines, govern change control and ensure accurate scope and progress representation.
- Produce visual and written reports with progress updates, variance analysis and Earned Value insights.
- Communicate planning information clearly to senior leaders, clients and multidisciplinary teams.
- Build strong stakeholder relationships to support collaborative delivery.
- Promote consistency and best practice across the Planning Function and contribute to process improvement.
- Mentor junior planners, reviewing their outputs and supporting skill development.
- Apply knowledge of contract forms (NEC, JCT, FIDIC) to planning deliverables and reporting.
- Ensure consultancy outputs align with client expectations and professional standards.

The role may require security clearance, with the vetting process conducted by UK Security Vetting and a residency requirement of five years in the UK. - Plan complex, multidisciplinary projects with experience in integrated scheduling.
- Proficient with planning tools such as Primavera P6, MS Project, OpenPlan or Asta Powerproject.
- Expertise in schedule risk assessments and integrated schedule‑cost‑risk analysis.
- Strong capability in baseline management, change control and maintaining schedule integrity.
- Excellent communication skills for presenting complex planning insights to senior stakeholders.
- Experience mentoring or supporting junior planners.
- Broad understanding of project‑controls disciplines and lifecycle governance.
- Knowledge of contract requirements (NEC, JCT, FIDIC).
- Prior experience in a consultancy environment is advantageous.
