Equipment Technician

• Hands-on troubleshooting of production equipment.
• Respond promptly to equipment breakdowns or malfunctions to minimize downtime and disruptions to production.
• Follow preventive maintenance schedules and procedures to perform routine checks and tasks to ensure optimal equipment performance and longevity.
• Ensure compliance with relevant industry regulations, company policies, and safety standards.
• Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines during maintenance activities to protect yourself, colleagues, and the manufacturing environment.
• Conduct routine inspections, maintenance, and repairs on machinery and equipment to ensure they are in optimal working condition.
• Suggest and implement improvements to equipment and maintenance procedures to enhance efficiency and reliability.
• Work collaboratively with other maintenance technicians, supervisors, and departments to achieve common goals and resolve complex issues.
• Calibrate and test equipment to ensure accurate performance and compliance with specifications.
• Participate in training programs to enhance your skills and stay updated on new technologies and maintenance practices.
• Detail-oriented to document maintenance tasks, equipment condition, repair records, and parts usage accurately.
• Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, or other technical equipment issues. Determine the root cause of problems and implement effective corrective actions.
• Maintain accurate and detailed records of maintenance activities, including work orders, repair logs, equipment maintenance history, and inventory levels.Report inventory needs to the maintenance supervisor or administrator.
• Participation in OEE improvement activities.
• Assist in the installation, set-up and commissioning of new equipment or machinery.

We are seeking an experienced Maintenance Technician to become part of our Equipment team in Huntsville, Alabama. This position will be tasked with the maintenance and repair of diverse machinery. This position is vital for reducing operational interruptions and guaranteeing the proper and secure functioning of all equipment.

• Ability to troubleshoot PLCs, automation devices, robots, and other electromechanical devices.
• Adept at troubleshooting and resolving technical issues quickly and efficiently.
• Certifications in trade skills
• Highschool diploma or GHED minimum with training and experience in technical field.
• Experience 0-8 years
• Compliance with company policies, safety rules, and regulations.
• Bachelor’s degree or higher in a technical field.
• Proficiency in troubleshooting and repairing mechanical, electrical, and electronic systems commonly found in manufacturing equipment. This includes hydraulics, pneumatics, motor sensors, PLCs, and other industrial controls.
• Experience with solar manufacturing
• Ability to collaborate with other departments to perform tasks and duties.
• Prior experience with computerized maintenance management systems or other tool tracking systems.
• Experience in a high-volume manufacturing environment.
• Strong aptitude to one of these knowledge areas: Electrical controls, Mechanical, pneumatics, hydraulics, PLCs.
