Prepare exhibits, designs and complex working drawings using AutoCAD, Microstation, and OpenRoads Designer.
Provide technical inputs and help optimize solutions
Utilize relevant software programs to perform analyses and modeling such as HCS, Sidra, Synchro, Vistro, VISSIM, and IHSDM.
Prepare high quality contract documents (plans, specifications, and estimates) for the construction of traffic and ITS infrastructure.
Assist in the preparation of engineering project documents such as traffic impact studies, stage 0 analyses, and transportation management plans.
Select and apply appropriate design criteria to perform traffic engineering design assignments.
Take initiative on tasks and in coordinating with other members of the design team.
Perform analyses related to traffic operations and safety.

Ability to effectively discuss project issues, understand the context, identify opportunities and challenges and provide potential solutions.
Microstation experience is required. Experience with InRoads, OpenRoads, and/or GeoPak/3D Modeling is a plus.
Engineering intern licensure or ability to obtain within 6 months.
Ability to solve problems using sound engineering judgment, creativity and innovation.
Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering.
Experience with software such as HCS, Sidra, Synchro, Vistro, VISSIM, and IHSDM is a plus.
Proficient in Microsoft (MS) Office Suite.
Working knowledge of relevant standards such as ITE Trip Gen, MUTCD, HCM, and HSM is a plus.
Ability to collaborate and work with others located in other offices via a virtual environment is critical.
