  • Actively participate in team meetings and share ideas for operational improvements
  • Prompt, regular attendance; wear company dress code / uniform & maintain professional appearance at all times
  • Responsible for conducting regular inspections for safety, security, and appearance concerns; escalate issues as needed
  • Participate in on-call rotation and respond to after-hours emergencies as needed
  • Complete day porter activities including cleaning common areas, trash removal, sweeping, pressure washing, painting and cobweb removeal
  • Complete tasks in a safe and efficient manner
  • Assist and complete basic plumbing repairs
  • Ensure maintenance shop/custodial area is clean, organized, and professionally presentable at all times
  • Conduct routine inspections of building equipment, common areas, roofs, parking areas, landscaping, lighting, music, signage, and safety systems; work with Commercial Asset team to provide corrective actions in a timely manner
  • Monitor supplies and maintain equipment
  • Checking and responding to security and safety issues
  • Provide excellent customer service while interacting with commercial tenants, associates, and contractors
  • Accompany vendors throughout buildings and when necessary to vacant and/or occupied units, as needed
  • Follow Weidner’s Mission, Vision and Values and comply with all Weidner policies and procedures as well as all Fair Housing, local, state/province, and federal laws
  • Monitor preventative maintenance scheduled, perform limited maintenance tasks as required, such as tightening door hardware, replacing acoustical ceiling tile, replacing light bulbs in common areas
  • Respond to tenant and associate service requests in a timely, professional manner

  • Ability to lift and carry up to 80 pounds, climb ladders and climb multiple flights of stairs at a time; must be able to negotiate building access ladders/roof hatches for inspection of building roof systems
  • Must be willing and able to travel up to 25% of the time to assigned Weidner properties as needed
  • Driver’s license, vehicle and vehicle insurance must be valid and unexpired at all times and match the country in which associate will work
  • Able to use appliance dolly, push/pull up to 200 pounds
  • Must agree to a criminal background check and sign an agreement for voluntary drug testing
  • Must use personal vehicle to respond to service requests and pick up supplies as needed
  • Able to be on feet constantly for entire work shift, if applicable
  • Must possess high school diploma or GED equivalency
  • Must have access to personal vehicle and/or reliable transportation, at all times
  • Work effectively and cooperatively in a team environment and/or independently
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize tasks with minimal supervision
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with strong motivation to learn & contribute on a daily basis
  • Working knowledge of English; detail oriented, well organized
  • Willing and available for on-call response 24 hours a day 7 days a week for emergencies
  • Able to work outdoors in all weather conditions
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn
