Construction Inspector

Description

• Review and approve engineering designs, plans, specifications, and contract documents.
• Develop and manage capital budgets and schedules.
• Solicit and manage contracts with consultants, contractors, and vendors.
• Ensure regulatory compliance (e.g. Clean Water Act, Safe Drinking Water Act, state/local permits).
• Coordinate with internal units (operations, maintenance, permitting, environmental compliance).
• Provide oversight of construction phase: inspection, quality assurance/control, safety compliance, change orders.
• Monitor project performance metrics and provide progress reports to senior management.

Requirements

• 0-2+ years of related construction inspection experience is required.
• Bachelor's degree in civil engineering is required.
• Strong mathematics skills and attention to detail.
• Familiarity with local and federal environmental regulations and permitting.
• Valid Driver's License is required.
• Strong technical knowledge in hydraulics, structural design, water/wastewater systems.
• Team player who enjoys working collaboratively with others.
• Experience with project management tools, cost estimating, scheduling (e.g., Primavera, MS Project).
• Ability to read, write, and understand English for purposes of comprehending written job-related communications and verbal instructions and interactions.
