What you would be doing

- Carry out basic repairs (e.g., plumbing, carpentry, painting, replacing lightbulbs).
- Maintain tools and equipment in good working order.
- Ensure toilets, classrooms, and communal areas are kept clean and well-stocked.
- Report and coordinate with contractors for major repairs.
- Ensure all fire exits, alarms, and extinguishers are regularly checked and maintained.
- Keep outdoor areas clean, tidy, and safe (e.g., sweeping paths, clearing snow, leaf removal).
- Comply with all relevant health and safety regulations.
- Conduct routine checks to ensure the safety and cleanliness of the site.
- Open and close school premises daily, ensuring all buildings are secure.
- Oversee maintenance of gardens, lawns, and play areas.
- Conduct routine safety inspections and risk assessments.
- Perform light cleaning duties and coordinate with cleaning staff to ensure high hygiene standards throughout the school.
- Monitor and maintain security systems (alarms, CCTV, locks, etc.).
