
Assist in occasional resolving supplier disputes and claims, including escalation management and settlement negotiation.
Provide early legal input on supplier performance or compliance issues.
Provide clear, practical, and business-oriented legal advice to the Procurement, IT, and Corporate Services teams.
Identify and manage key risks, including data protection, information security, intellectual property, liability, insurance, confidentiality, and termination.
Advise on legal implications of procurement strategies and supplier relationships.
Draft, review, and negotiate a broad range of indirect procurement contracts, including:
Technology contracts: software licences, SaaS, PaaS, IaaS, implementation, hosting, and support agreements.
Professional services: consultancy, outsourcing, advisory, etc.
Corporate operations: IT, finance, marketing, communications, HR, etc.
Ensure all contracts comply with the organisation’s legal, commercial, and risk management standards.
Technology contracts: software licences, SaaS, PaaS, IaaS, implementation, hosting, and support agreements.
Professional services: consultancy, outsourcing, advisory, etc.
Corporate operations: IT, finance, marketing, communications, HR, etc.
Work closely with Procurement, Privacy, Information Security, AI teams globally.
Partner with business stakeholders to structure contracts that align with operational objectives while protecting the organisation’s interests.
Support training and awareness sessions for procurement and business teams on contract management and risk identification.
Contribute to continuous improvement of the organisation’s contracting frameworks, templates, and playbooks.
Support the transition to and optimisation of the organisation’s Contract Lifecycle Management (CLM) system.
Develop and maintain guidelines and checklists for efficient contract review and risk assessment.
Participate in global initiatives on AI governance and other governance relating to indirect procurement.
Law degree and full qualification to practise in at least one common law or civil law jurisdiction.
Minimum 5–8 years’ post-qualification experience, preferably gained in a top-tier law firm or multinational corporate legal department.
Proven experience in drafting and negotiating complex commercial contracts, with a focus on indirect procurement and technology transactions.
Strong understanding of contract, commercial, and intellectual property law, as well as familiarity with data protection, information security and AI obligations.
Experience with cross-border contracting and multi-jurisdictional legal issues.
Excellent negotiation, communication, and drafting skills.
Strong analytical and organisational abilities, with a pragmatic and solutions-oriented mindset.
Ability to balance legal risk with commercial priorities and propose clear recommendations.
High degree of autonomy and initiative in managing workload and deadlines across regions.
Collaborative team player with a global mindset and cultural awareness.
