Bridge Team Leader - Underwater Inspection

Bridge Team Leader responsible for underwater inspections of waterfront structures, ensuring safety of traveling public, and drafting inspection reports.
Ensures that responsibilities are delivered and adhered to with a level of quality that meets or exceeds acceptable industry standards for equipment maintenance, diving safety, and inspection procedures.
Helps ensure the safety of the traveling public through detailed assessments of bridge components and channel conditions below water.
Exercise responsible and ethical decision-making regarding company funds, resources, and conduct, and adhere to WSP’s Code of Conduct and related policies and procedures.
Plans, schedules, and performs bridge inspections in accordance with the requirements of specific bridge owners, but in all cases, in compliance with the National Bridge Inspection Standards (NBIS) and OSHA Regulations.
Use relevant work experience to perform underwater evaluations of waterfront structures.
Generates accurate and concise documentation regarding assigned aspects of the project.
Performs routine maintenance on diving equipment in accordance with WSP’s Safe Diving Practices Manual and to manufacturers’ specifications.
Drafts and reviews inspection reports to clearly convey findings to client.

Commercial Diving (ADCI) Certification
Competent interpersonal and communication skills when interacting with others.
ADCI Air-diving Supervisor Certification.
Frequent travel/overnight travel will be required depending on project-specific requirements and project location.
Physically capable of performing field work; including working in inclement weather, climbing slopes and ladders, carrying gear (up to 75 lbs), operating small boats, and using hand and power tools, etc.
Current USDOT physical
ADCI medical examination within last 12 months.
Certified Guardian Full Face Mask Technician
Ability to work schedules conducive to project-specific requirements that may extend beyond the typical workweek.
Selected candidate must have the ability to work in the United States immediately.

Proven track record of upholding workplace safety and ability to abide by WSP’s health, safety, and drug/alcohol and harassment policies.
Ability to work independently under general supervision, as well as part of a team to meet business objectives.
Associate or Bachelor's degree.
Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel.
Proficient in AutoCAD or MicroStation.
Capable of self-leadership with attention to detail, ability to learn new techniques, perform multiple tasks simultaneously, follow instructions, and comply with company policies.
Certified Kirby Morgan Hat Technician
Prior leadership experience.
Valid state driver’s license.
