Lead development of tender programmes and support bid management for civil projects

Key Responsibilities

Tasks

-Thorough review of tender documentation to determine key information, e.g. project constraints which provide the foundation for tender programmes -Produce labour and plant schedules that reflect the nature of each individual project -Advise site team and/or senior management of areas of concern -Attend tender settlements and present the programme, preliminaries and logistical aspects -Produce phasing plans, traffic management plans and methodology diagrams to support tender reviews and quality questions -Meetings with subcontractors, designers and stakeholders to ensure accurate programme allowances, driving best value and innovative proposals -Liaise with the Bid/Technical Manager and tender teams and play a part in the successful conclusion of each tender opportunity -Contribute to the risk and opportunity schedule -Produce well-constructed and considered logic linked tender programmes built from first principle planning, with defined critical path and resource allocation -Develop skills of other planning staff -Attendance at site visits to ensure full understanding of proposed schemes

What You Bring

-Good communication skills written & face to face -Good analytical/logic skills -Excellent time management skills -Able to work on own initiative when required -Experienced user of Microsoft Project (Primary) and Primavera P6 (Secondary) -Minimum 5 years’ site leadership experience within Civil Engineering -Good planning and organisational skills -Confidence in attending Client interviews, mid tender briefings etc -Appropriate Civil Engineering Qualification (HNC / Degree etc.) -UK driving licence -First class attention to detail standards -Experience planning a range of Civil Engineering Schemes - values £0.5m - £10m
