What you would be doing

  • Own certain raw materials used primarily within PPG Aerospace and set/own contracting strategy, negotiate pricing, supply assurance, working capital efficiency, and delivery against cost savings targets and single source reduction
  • Collaborate with the various Aero S&T groups to drive value and resilience at the formulation stage, including movement away from single sourcing towards dual sourcing and design with flexibility in mind
  • Serve as a key link between PPG Aerospace and other PPG Category Managers whose areas of material responsibility also impact the Aerospace business
  • Intersect the business at Category Management and Coordination, S&T Collaboration and new product development, and raw material availability escalation
  • Combine category management with upstream collaboration with the Aerospace Science and Technology (R&D) departments
  • Identify alternative suppliers and sources
  • Facilitate resolution when the plant operations groups are unable to get suppliers to support production needs or require assistance for other supplier related issues

  • Two (2) years Aerospace coatings procurement experience preferred
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident
  • Must be able to effectively read, write, and communicate in English
