Programme Controls Lead

Description

We are recruiting a Programme Controls Lead for our Dublin office. The role provides project controls expertise across the programme, including cost management, scheduling, reporting and risk management, and leads a high‑performing team of controls professionals. The successful candidate will work closely with design consultants, contractors and the programme director to drive consistent methodology and strategic decision‑making.

• Provide project controls expertise (cost management, scheduling, reporting, risk management) across the programme.
• Facilitate programme controls meetings with designers, contractors and staff to align expectations and optimise performance.
• Monitor and report cost, time and risk information to the programme director for strategic decisions.
• Recruit, mentor and retain a high‑performing team of Project Controls professionals.
• Implement business systems and processes to enhance programme efficiency.
• Direct and manage cost managers, overseeing cost procedures, tools and reporting.
• Chair monthly project reviews to ensure effective cost, schedule and risk management.
• Oversee development and maintenance of the master programme and yearly programme of work.
• Manage the Schedule Lead and ensure realistic, achievable project schedules.
• Lead the Risk Manager, develop risk strategies, maintain risk registers and conduct risk workshops.
• Develop schedule‑risk‑adjusted budgets and report corporate risk to the Corporate Risk Manager.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Quantity Surveying, Engineering or a related technical field.
• Minimum 15 + years of relevant experience, including at least 3 + years in the aviation industry.
• Strong knowledge of project financial, cost management and risk management systems.
• Proven experience leading and organising teams in operational service delivery.
• Excellent commercial, financial and project management skills with strong organizational ability.
