Investment Planning. Assess cost-beneficial options against the wider waste business plan and constructively challenge tactical and strategic investment plans.
Working alongside our Senior Asset Planning Sponsors, a key part of your role will be to define investment decisions and be able to articulate the anticipated Measure Of Success which will inform whether they require immediate delivery or should inform future asset plans. You will work closely with the wider Asset Planning teams and delivery partners to ensure clarity, and alignment between the groups to manage investigation and investment overlap.
As our Asset Planning Sponsor, in the integrated catchment team, you be responsible for driving the delivery of programmes that investigate, diagnose, and develop solutions for catchment and compliance risks. Driving our catchment asset plans forward and ensuring that our regulatory and compliance needs are met, all while ensuring that they take into account the most cost effective TOTEX (total expenditure) solution.
Contractor Oversight & Risk Management. Defining contractor outputs and priorities, ensuring alignment with the tactical objectives and escalating programme-level risks to senior sponsors.
Post-Project Assurance. Ensure post-completion assessments are conducted to validate capital works and identify any latent risks.
Defining Investigation Needs. Set clear requirements from the outset, articulating the risks of missing data and its implications for long-term investment planning.
Driving End-to-End Catchment Investigations. Have responsibility across the full investigation and pre-promotion process, ensuring robust and timely delivery.
Solution Development. Oversee the development of asset and catchment solutions that optimise TOTEX and align with business objectives.
Data Proficiency. Familiarity with a range of asset data types and systems used in wastewater management.
If successful for the role, you will be required to undergo pre-employment checks that will include a Basic Disclosure Check, carried out through a Third-Party Company, prior to commencing employment. Depending on the role, you may also be required to go through the security vetting process for either a Counter Terrorist Check or Security Check clearance.
Risk Management. Proven experience in identifying, assessing, and managing risks for wastewater assets and catchments.
Wastewater Technical Expertise. Engineering and/or hydraulic knowledge of wastewater assets and catchments, including their operational characteristics.
