The incumbent develops revenue requirements for general rate cases, ensuring pricing structures align with authorized rates and support operations. They represent PGE before the Public Utility Commission, providing testimony, data responses, and negotiating settlements while handling compliance reporting and tariff administration. Internal consulting on regulatory strategy and external interaction with regulators and agencies are also core duties.
The position requires a bachelor’s degree in engineering, economics, business or equivalent experience, and typically 12+ years of relevant experience. Candidates must possess expert knowledge of business, engineering, economics, financial modeling, ratemaking, and utility regulation, as well as advanced negotiation, decision-making and organizational skills. Advanced expertise in electrical distribution, transmission and generation facilities is also expected.
Success demands strong cognitive abilities to meet deadlines, adhere to accuracy standards, and communicate effectively under stress. The role involves hybrid office work, frequent travel within the service territory, and the ability to work variable and on-call schedules, including during severe weather. Physical requirements include regular computer use and driving for business purposes.
Compensation ranges from $107,025 to $222,560, plus a performance-based incentive, with a total rewards package that supports well-being and professional readiness.
