Analyze and diagnose equipment malfunctions.
Repair and troubleshoot engines, fuel systems, final drives, hydraulic components, including pumps, motors, valves, and all related components, electrical and air systems.
Perform preventative maintenance on company owned and rental fleet.
Maintain a safe working environment and observe all safety procedures, laws, policies, and rules.
Communicate with equipment managers and field managers in a manner which promotes a positive relationship.
Welding, fabrication, and tool inventory management.
Follow manufacturer and company service guidelines and procedures to ensure safe quality work and to preserve and document component failure information for accurate failure analysis.
Prepare required documentation including work orders, parts lists, and timecards in an accurate and timely manner.

Competent Person Safety Training
Knowledge of diesel technology, electronics, transmissions, and hydraulics.
The following safety training is preferred, but not mandatory. Company will provide additional training, as necessary.
Valid Driver’s License (Class A or Class B, with Air Brake endorsement) and ability to drive on behalf of company business.
Willing to travel; work overtime as needed and within labor law guidelines.
Ability to become Forklift/Boom Lift certified.
8-Hour Supervisory Training
High School Diploma/GED or equivalent.
First Aid and CPR
Five plus years of Heavy Equipment Mechanic experience.
