The Shift Engineer ensures all technical services operate during the shift, manages electromechanical and utility systems with a technician team, and prepares and implements preventive maintenance programs. Regular site inspections are performed to identify risks or defects, and the engineer reviews subordinate work, provides guidance, and maintains documentation for defect liability periods, AMC/CAMC, and asset tracking.
Responsibilities also include hiring, training, and developing shift engineers and maintenance staff, budgeting, monitoring SLA’s and KPI’s, managing vendor quotations and invoices, and ensuring timely renewal of agreements and payment follow‑ups. The role schedules monthly vendor meetings, drives energy‑conservation initiatives, maintains equipment history cards, and oversees safety permits, risk assessments, corrective and emergency action plans, as well as participation in evacuation drills and ERT/QRT teams.
Candidates should have a degree or diploma in Electrical/Mechanical engineering (or equivalent) with 5‑7 years of experience in real estate, hotel, or construction industries; residential site experience is preferred. The role requires analytical, meticulous, problem‑solving skills, good knowledge of procedures, and the ability to coordinate across teams. The position is on‑site in Pune, Maharashtra, with a 48‑hour weekly schedule reporting to the Estate Manager.
