The Project Manager will provide overall leadership, overseeing project quality, timeliness, safety, and mentoring the project team. Responsibilities include managing financial health, contract negotiations, vendor procurement, budgeting, billing, and change order management, as well as serving as the primary point of contact with owners and on‑site representatives. The role also involves supervising Assistant Project Managers and Project Engineers, assigning work, and fostering career development.
Mortenson is seeking an experienced Project Manager I or II to join its Power Delivery Services Group. The role requires experience in power, renewable energy, and storage, as well as the ability to interact with staff at all levels in a dynamic environment. The successful candidate will demonstrate flexibility, resourcefulness, proactive problem‑solving, professionalism, and confidentiality while maintaining high‑quality communications and attention to detail.
Candidates must have a bachelor's degree in construction, civil, architectural engineering, or construction management, or equivalent experience. Minimum qualifications include six years of construction management for PM I and seven years for PM II, with PM II requiring experience on large projects over $20 million. Preferred experience includes commercial construction, renewable energy project development, EPC contracting, or emerging technologies, along with strong customer service skills and a valid driver’s license.

Compensation is based on experience and location, with base pay ranging from $113,500 to $170,300 for PM I and $132,100 to $198,200 for PM II, adjusted for certain office locations.
