Supervises technical teams on multi-discipline projects, ensures the team is working to a plan that supports the project schedule and budget.
As required, works with the Project Manager, project controls and the Discipline Leads to support a robust change management program on projects.
May participate in contract negotiations with clients and subcontractors, focusing on the technical delivery.
Has awareness of project contract terms and may monitor subcontractors' compliance with contractual commitments with respect to technical delivery.
Monitors subconsultants' progress and technical performance.
Reports financial status of projects to the Discipline Leads. If required, works with the Project Manager and Discipline Leads to develop recovery plans.
Supports project controls functions on projects.
May support Identification of new business opportunities for the firm, coordinate and participate in project presentations to clients and other external groups, and promote the firm's capabilities, marketing its services among existing and prospective clients.
Schedules and coordinates project meetings with the project team, regulatory agencies, the client, and others involved with the projects.
Supports proposal development for projects, working with the technical teams to develop scope, hours, exceptions and clarifications, written technical proposal content, and may help to develop final pricing.
Works with the Project Manager to develop the budget and schedule for the project.
Monitors reports and schedules to ensure appropriate charging of manhours, (costs) to projects, and to communicate project progress/status to senior management.
Prepares project work plan and scope, and works with the Project Manager to develop the schedule and budget, and communicates these to project team members; monitors/manages project production for compliance with schedule, budget and quality objectives.
Reviews project account files on the computerized project management information system, and periodically reviews project reports for accuracy and completeness.
Participates in project opportunity evaluation, consultant selection, and the preparation of firm's qualification/experience statements.

Bachelor's degree in field(s) of practice. Graduate degree desirable. Management coursework and/or MBA a plus. This level may be achieved with 12 years experience in project production and technical professional activities, two of these working as a Sr. Technical Professional.
Excellent technical and interpersonal skills. Proven ability to manage individuals and teams, provide leadership, and manage project production. Must have business vision, excellent communication skills, and be able to represent the firm effectively to clients, key public officials, and the community in general.
