The Quality Engineer is a core member of the Mankato team, responsible for ensuring product quality through data analysis and production quality control. The position focuses on resolving systemic issues, guaranteeing new‑product quality, and supporting continuous improvement to meet strict compliance standards.
Key responsibilities include analyzing production and warranty data to identify normal and special‑cause variation, providing timely root‑cause analysis and corrective actions for line and customer quality issues, and supporting warranty cluster investigations and field corrections. The engineer also supports global new‑product development, maintains compliance with specifications and regulations, and represents the quality department during internal and external audits.
Candidates must be authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship, hold a bachelor’s degree in a relevant engineering discipline, and have either three years of QA/QC experience (or seven years without a degree). Preferred qualifications include proficiency with statistical tools such as SPC, DoE, and Minitab, Six‑Sigma Green Belt or ASQ CQE certification, strong communication skills, and experience with industry standards like ISO 9001, NFPA 70, and APQP.
