We are looking for a hydrogeologic expert to solve real‑world problems and mentor emerging hydrogeologists within our Upper Midwest environmental consulting practice. The role can focus on client management and business development or on providing technical expertise and talent development, depending on your preference.
- Design and implement groundwater investigations and monitoring systems at MSW and CCR landfills.
- Process and analyze hydrogeologic and geologic data.
- Manage, interpret, and report groundwater monitoring data.
- Prepare technical reports, proposals, bid documents, and health & safety plans.
- Mentor and develop staff members.
- Research technical data and regulatory requirements.
- Coordinate work with contractors, laboratories, and regulators.
- Deliver services on time, with high quality, complying with regulations and SCS’s QA program within project profitability targets.
- Make independent and collaborative decisions on scientific problems and methods.
- Provide technical and operational direction to achieve positive outcomes.
- Communicate project status, schedules, and compliance issues to clients, third parties, and regulators.
- Follow client and corporate contract specifications, including health, safety, security, and environmental standards.
- Manage projects: develop proposals, contract, lead teams, forecast, invoice, and handle receivables.
- Assist with client development activities.
- Contribute to business development efforts.
- Perform statistical evaluations of hydrogeologic data.
- Utilize GIS or database management tools.

The successful candidate will demonstrate the ability to apply geologic and hydrogeologic knowledge in an environmental consulting setting.
- Hold a Master’s degree in hydrogeology or Geology with hydrogeology coursework.
- Possess 5–10 years of experience in environmental consulting or a related field.
- Have experience implementing groundwater monitoring for MSW landfills or CCR sites.
- Experience interpreting federal and state regulations and ensuring compliance.
- Maintain a P.G. license or obtain one within the first year.
- Completed OSHA 40‑hour HAZWOPER training (preferred).
- Hold a valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.

We are hiring a full‑time Senior Hydrogeologist to work on municipal solid waste (MSW) and coal combustion residual (CCR) projects. Our regional team operates out of offices in Madison, Milwaukee, Green Bay, Chicago, and Peoria, and we provide a flexible hybrid work arrangement.
Pay range is USD $100,000.00 – $180,000.00 per year, determined by experience, internal equity, and location.
