The Material Handler role at Terex involves moving and controlling materials and finished goods throughout the plant. The employee replenishes materials on the flow line, handles basic issues, and escalates complex problems to higher‑level staff. Work is performed under general supervision with guidance on procedural changes and new regulations.
Candidates should have 0–2 years of material‑handling experience and at least a high‑school diploma or equivalent. Preference is given to individuals certified to operate forklifts, tugger trucks, or other powered industrial trucks, or those who can obtain certification. Basic computer skills and the ability to read blueprints, follow verbal and written instructions, and interpret tape measurements are required.
The position requires medium to heavy physical effort, including frequent lifting of 10–40 lb and occasional lifting of 40–100 lb with assistance, and standing on concrete for ten or more hours per shift. Key competencies include mechanical aptitude, effective communication, teamwork, independent work with minimal supervision, safety‑hazard recognition, confidentiality, and reliable attendance.
The hourly wage ranges from $22.00 to $23.80, and a $3,000 sign‑on bonus is paid in two installments, contingent on continued employment. Eligible team members receive a comprehensive benefits package that includes medical, dental, vision, life, AD&D, short‑ and long‑term disability, paid time off, holidays, 401(k) matching, an employee stock purchase plan, legal assistance, wellness programs, tuition reimbursement, and various discount programs.
