Senior Accountant

Description

• Administer the 401(k) plan and complete year-end audits.
• Collaborate with ReStore leadership to investigate budget variances and assist in annual budget preparations.
• Conduct ad hoc analysis on sales trends and inventory metrics.
• Act as our go-to expert on the POS system and address any financial discrepancies.
• Manage bi-weekly payroll submissions and related reporting.
• Safeguard our organization's interests and report any concerns to our CEO.
• Generate insightful management reports and conduct analyses to support our leadership team.
• Oversee benefits administration, including managing open enrollment for employees.
• Work alongside our CFO/COO and auditors during the annual audit process.
• Perform additional tasks assigned by the CFO/COO to help our team succeed.
• Prepare monthly journal entries and reconciliations for a smooth month-end close.

Requirements

• Experience in the retail sector and payroll processing is a plus.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and QuickBooks.
• A Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• At least four years of progressive accounting and general ledger experience, with two years in a senior-level role.
