Design Manager

Description

• Leading design delivery across both internal and external teams
• Monitoring progress against internal objectives and stakeholder expectations
• Setting and managing safety, commercial, and operational targets
• Taking ownership of the commercial performance of design projects
• Supporting, developing, and growing your design team to meet evolving project needs
• Preparing detailed design programmes and cost forecasts
• Building and maintaining strong working relationships with key partners
• Planning workloads to align with customer and project requirements

Requirements

• Solid understanding of CDM Regulations and the responsibilities of the Designer
• Bonus: experience working within an alliance or joint-venture environment
• Confidence in design management and commercial decision-making
• Strong people-management skills with the ability to motivate and inspire
• Knowledge of protection and control schemes for 11kV–132kV networks
• Chartered Engineer status (or equivalent professional experience)
• Familiarity with ISO9001, ISO14001, and OHSAS 18001 standards
• Experience leading teams within engineering, utilities, or distribution network environments
