Description

The Housekeeping Supervisor oversees Guest Room Attendants and Hotel Housemen to keep rooms and public areas pristine. Daily duties include inspecting rooms and common areas, assigning tasks, investigating complaints, performing inventory checks, and coordinating room turnover with managers. The supervisor also motivates the team, resolves on‑the‑job issues, and issues supplies and equipment as needed.

• Supervise Guest Room Attendants and Hotel Housemen to ensure clean rooms and guest areas.
• Inspect rooms, common areas, grounds, and exterior spaces for cleanliness standards.
• Assign daily duties and generate room cleaning and turnover lists.
• Investigate and resolve housekeeping service and equipment complaints.
• Conduct inventory checks to maintain proper supply par levels.
• Communicate room readiness to managers, desk clerks, and admitting personnel.
• Motivate team members and address on‑the‑job issues promptly.
• Issue necessary supplies and equipment to housekeeping staff.
• Maintain professional image, confidence, and leadership presence.
• Uphold confidentiality and security of guest and hotel information.
• Lift items up to 50 lb and perform physical cleaning tasks throughout a shift.
• Provide prompt, courteous customer service and respond to special guest requests.

Requirements

Candidates must communicate clearly in English (bilingual is a plus), possess thorough knowledge of hotel services, and project a professional image with confidence and leadership. Required skills include strong attention to detail, organization, prioritization, confidentiality, and the ability to lift up to 50 lb while performing physical cleaning tasks. Prior experience as a Housekeeping Supervisor or similar role, excellent organizational and team‑management abilities, and flexible availability for weekends and evenings are essential.
