Design engineers develop and compare alternative layouts or designs that utilize equipment of various capabilities in diverse physical arrangements, considering structural, mechanical, and hydraulic features. This role involves working on preliminary designs and specifications, evaluating frequent design changes, reviewing new circuitry and power distribution approaches, and incorporating automatic self‑test methods in equipment design. Pay rate is $30‑$45 hourly, and the work model is onsite/in‑office.
- Provide engineering and support services for various C2 facilities, including AV design and installation of space operations centers.
- Review current drawing packages and make changes to meet requirements and room configurations.
- Prepare pre‑installation, test, and checkout documentation for new AV equipment components and subcomponents.
- Catalog and archive software media related to AV equipment.
- Oversee engineering and installation of AV equipment components and subcomponents as specified in the IDP or directed by the Government.

Candidates must hold a bachelor’s degree in an engineering discipline or industrial design and have at least three years of professional experience in mechanical, structural, or electrical/electronic design.
