A global engineering, management, and development consultancy delivering innovative solutions.
The main responsibilities include providing EMC assurance for railway and non‑railway projects such as transmission and generation, and preparing the associated assurance documents. You will also deliver modelling support—such as induced voltage studies and magnetic field exposure analyses—using the company’s proprietary software tools.
The successful candidate may also engage in client relationship building, support business development activities, contribute to bid preparation and proposal production, and produce polished consultancy reports. Additional opportunities include contributing to tool and process development, attending client‑facing meetings, and participating in team meetings and events.
Reporting to the EMC Team Leader, the role is primarily technical and supports the delivery of the electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) scope for our projects. Familiarity with both national and international EMC standards and the design principles for operating an electrified railway is advantageous.
The position is based in Noida or Bangalore. While rail‑industry experience is desirable, it is not essential because comprehensive on‑the‑job training will be provided by experienced rail EMC engineers.
Essential requirements are chartered status (or working towards it), a solid understanding of AC and DC traction power systems and their interfaces, and knowledge of the UK EMC regulatory framework, including the 2016 regulations and designated standards. Candidates must also understand coupling mechanisms for electromagnetic interference, possess strong verbal and written communication skills, and be proficient in computer modelling techniques for traction power and EMC analysis.
Desirable, but non‑essential, experience includes familiarity with the Physical Agents (EMF) Directive 2004/40/EC and ICNIRP limits, design principles for earthing and bonding on AC and DC railways, and data analysis related to EMC documentation.
Preferred academic qualifications are a B.Tech or M.Tech in Electrical Engineering or a related field, with 8‑12 years of experience in electrical engineering focused on EMC/EMI. Experience in the UK rail sector, leading work packages, project/contract management, and programming in MATLAB, C++, or Python are also valued.
We offer an agile and safe working environment, competitive annual and sick leave, a group incentive scheme, and comprehensive insurance coverage including group life, workmen’s compensation, and medical benefits. Employees also benefit from short‑ and long‑term global employment opportunities, global collaboration and knowledge sharing, and involvement in digital innovation and transformation initiatives.
The company embraces agile working, allowing employees and managers to choose flexible work arrangements that best meet client, team, and personal commitments, fostering trust and adaptability.
