Senior Electrical Estimator

Description

• Work closely with project, engineering, and leadership teams through handover and tender reviews
• Analyse drawings, specifications, and complex project requirements to develop detailed costing strategies
• Lead the preparation of accurate, competitive, and high-quality estimates for major projects
• Review subcontractor and supplier pricing, identify risks, and provide value-engineering alternatives
• Mentor and support junior estimating staff, helping develop capability within the VIC branch

Requirements

• Comfortable contributing to tender strategy, pricing structures, and project planning
• Strong background in electrical estimating across large commercial or industrial projects (e.g., $10M+ environments)
• Exceptional attention to detail and ability to work autonomously on complex bids
• Proficient with estimating systems such as ConEst or Simpro (or similar platforms)
• Deep understanding of electrical installations, labour rates, materials, and delivery methodologies
