The role involves working closely with install partners to enforce compliance with safety procedures, CDM requirements and the New Roads and Street Works Act. Responsibilities include investigating accidents and near‑misses, collecting and reporting quality metrics, producing periodic performance reports, coordinating audit schedules with site supervisors, maintaining documentation, ensuring HSQC permit records are up to date, fostering a proactive safety culture and supporting AI‑driven audit processes.
Candidates must hold a NEBOSH or equivalent HSE certification and have three to five years of health‑and‑safety supervision experience within highways, civil infrastructure or utilities. A thorough understanding of road construction hazards, electricity safety, and relevant national and local regulations is required, together with strong communication, leadership, incident‑investigation and root‑cause analysis skills. A valid driver’s licence and willingness to travel are also essential.
