MEP Design Engineer

The MEP Design Engineer will be responsible for designing, developing, and coordinating all aspects of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems for building projects. The role includes collaborating with architects, structural engineers, and contractors to ensure systems meet necessary codes and client requirements.

• Conduct site inspections and surveys and resolve any technical issues as they arise.
• Ensure all designs comply with local codes, standards, and safety regulations.
• Prepare reports, presentation materials, and attend client meetings.
• Review and approve shop drawings, submittals, and related documentation.
• Perform detailed design and calculation work for HVAC, electrical, fire protection, and plumbing systems.
• Select and specify materials, equipment, and systems for building services.
• Liaise with project managers, architects, and other engineering disciplines to ensure integrated project delivery.
• Prepare technical drawings, specifications, and BOMs using AutoCAD, Revit, and other relevant design software.
• Assist in value engineering, cost estimation and tendering processes.

• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Experience in sustainable building design and green certifications (LEED, BREEAM) is a plus.
• Professional registration with DM(Dubai Municipality) or working towards (e.g., CEng, IEng, or equivalent) is an advantage.
• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Building Services Engineering.
• Familiarity with CFD or BIM modelling and analysis tools is beneficial.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit MEP, and other relevant software.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• 10 years of experience in MEP system design and coordination
• Solid understanding of local building codes and standards.
