The Assistant Vice President – Project Execution is responsible for planning and executing projects within budget, cost, and time, in accordance with norms and regulations. The role also provides guidance and corrective actions to teams to achieve operational excellence.
Key accountabilities include directing, developing, and building capabilities across the Projects organization in areas such as project management, execution, regulatory and right‑of‑way (ROW) clearances, quality, safety, health & environment, and contracting. The incumbent develops and recommends execution plans and schedules, monitors deviations, and advises site teams on corrective actions.
The role focuses on developing a cohort of project leaders capable of handling complex ROW and statutory clearance challenges, proactively identifying potential problems, and executing mitigation plans while fostering a culture of adherence to international best practices for quality, safety, health, and environment.
Regular responsibilities involve updating project schedules, cost estimates, forecasts, and budgets as needed, and traveling to project sites to oversee progress.
