The Maintenance Worker is responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing the facility’s building structures and systems, including plumbing, electrical wiring and fixtures, machinery, equipment, electronics, vehicles, and grounds, while ensuring safe and secure operations.
Key duties include inspecting, diagnosing, and fixing machines and equipment; installing and repairing electrical components; performing preventative maintenance per the maintenance plan; and supervising and tracking inmates or residents assigned to the Maintenance Department.
Qualifications include a high school diploma or GED, at least two years of general maintenance or construction experience (or equivalent technical training), knowledge of building construction and systems, a valid driver’s license, and being at least 18 years old.
