

Provider of UK housing repairs, maintenance, care services, development and facilities management
As a Gas Engineer based in Peterborough, you will support residents with reactive repairs across a portfolio of properties, following a planned route that includes service repairs, breakdown assistance and new installations, all in line with The Gas Safety (Installation and Use) Regulations 1998 and Mears Gas Procedures.
Key duties include performing gas repairs and maintenance in domestic premises, maintaining high standards of quality, safety and customer satisfaction, and completing all required paperwork and electronic records for audit and invoicing. You will seek authorization for any work that deviates from the original order, manage stock and materials, report safeguarding concerns promptly, and take part in emergency call‑out cover when needed.
Applicants must hold City & Guilds or Gas Service Engineer qualifications with current ACS certification (minimum CCN1, CENWAT and CKR1, CMDDA1 preferred), and have a solid understanding of relevant legislation and building control requirements. Experience with heating boilers, central heating, piping, plumbing and valves is essential, as is reliability and willingness to work extra hours on a call‑out rota. A UK driving licence (age > 21, held > 3 months, less than 9 points) and eligibility to work in the UK are required, and all candidates will undergo DBS/security checks.
The position offers an annual salary of up to £39,809.07 and is a full‑time, permanent role working 42.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 8:00 am‑5:00 pm. A company van and fuel card are included as part of the compensation package.
