Receiving

Description

• May maintain department database, prepare routine reports, and file shipping/receiving records.
• Traces lost shipments and/or customer claims of lost shipments; initiates proof of delivery documents.
• Inspects shipments for damages or defects; records discrepancies or damages and notifies supervisor and/or purchasing personnel.
• Sorts, counts, packages, labels, insures, unpacks, and/or logs inventory which is shipped or received.
• Follows established company policies, procedures, and objectives, continuous quality improvement objectives, and safety.
• Provide contractor badge along with photo to identify the individual while working inside the building.
• Maintains communication with Front Desk when a contractor has arrived and advise which unit they will need access for.
• Delivers packages to Front Desk at times, and obtains authorized signatures for accepted items.
• Communicate with Management Office each time a contractor arrives with building materials or furniture deliveries to ensure they have provided the required elevator deposit.
• Receives and logs contractors into the system and contractor log whom will perform work or deliver items to the units.
• Receives incoming packages and enters information on packing slip into resident software.

Requirements

• Bi-lingual a plus; English and Spanish
• Ability to detect auditory and/or visual emergency alarms. Noise level in the work environment is usually low to moderate.
• Proficient use of MS Office
• Six months to one year in related experience and/or training.
• Must be able to lift, carry, push, and pull at least 30 lbs.
