The Asset Operations function is the cornerstone of service delivery, responsible for operational and maintenance strategy, policies, planning and SOPs for water and wastewater across the country. Integrated Operations monitors performance, manages risk to service continuity, and ensures a customer‑first approach. The ICA team supports the operation of UÉ’s asset base and the quality of data used by field, telemetry and NOMC teams.
The Instrumentation, Control & Automation Operational Technology Supervisor reports to the ICA Regional Lead and leads a geographically dispersed team of Site Operational Technology operatives, overseeing both planned and reactive ICA activities.
General duties include collaboration with internal stakeholders, championing health and safety across the business and supply chain, supporting the Uisce Éireann Transformation Programme, and ensuring compliance with information security and cybersecurity regulations.
- Manage planned and reactive instrumentation, control, and automation maintenance across the asset base.
- Lead, support, and develop a geographically dispersed team of Operational Technology operatives.
- Oversee budgeting, procurement, and material consumption for the ICA team.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, QA, and operational competence standards.
- Coordinate fault finding, signal testing, calibration, and repair of field instrumentation and communication systems.
- Develop and improve standard operating procedures and resource management processes.
- Monitor vehicle compliance, conduct inspections, and report defects.
- Investigate escalated customer complaints and ensure timely resolution.
- Maintain inventory of critical spares and support incident/emergency response.
- Track and report KPI performance, manage field teams, and deliver internal communications.
- Promote health and safety across Uisce Éireann and its supply chain.
- Drive the Uisce Éireann Transformation Programme and uphold information security policies.

Candidates should hold a relevant third‑level qualification (desirable) and have at least three years of experience in water or utilities sectors. Proven people‑management, change‑management and conflict‑resolution skills, strong analytical ability, and adaptability are essential.
