- Provide technical expertise to internal and external clients
- Perform field work for land surveying scopes including construction staking, boundary location, ALTA, and topography
- Organize field staking materials as necessary
- Operate GPS, total stations, scanners, and data collectors
- Transfer files between data collectors and internal project folders
- Communicate project status, daily progress, and issues to office teams
- Maintain productive working relationships with clients and coworkers
- Adhere to company safety, quality management, and equipment maintenance policies
- Ensure division, regional, and company policies and practices are consistently followed
- Lead and mentor survey crew members
- Operate total station and GPS in static and RTK modes for control networks, boundaries, ALTA, topography, and construction staking
- Perform tasks and solve problems with a high degree of independence

The role requires physical mobility on construction sites and field assignments, including the ability to lift 50 pounds, walk long distances, and carry survey equipment in remote, rural, or urban environments. Work is performed outdoors and may be subject to weather, insects, and changing conditions.
Candidates must have experience leading and mentoring a survey crew, operating total stations and GPS equipment in both static and RTK modes, and a valid driver’s license with a clean record. OSHA 10 and CPR/First Aid certification or a willingness to obtain them, as well as basic office suite computer skills and the ability to work independently, are required. Preferred qualifications include an Associate’s Degree in Surveying or a related field, coordination with office personnel, and a FAA Part 107 UAS License.
