Office work may include review of drawings or specifications as part of our QC/QA program.
May assist with copying, making plan sets, filing, library maintenance, or other duties as assigned.
Field work will primarily consist of construction observation and documentation of work in progress, keeping daily records of quantities and activities, verifying material specifications, and ensuring compliance with plans and specifications.
Field measurements for record drawings and verifying compliance to plan will utilize some survey equipment, such as GPS, optical or laser lever, and hand tools, such as measuring rod and tape.
Maintain equipment used in the field and in the office.
Works independently in the field with oversight by the engineer of record and project manager. Has authority to stop construction jobs if it appears contractors are deviating from design or materials or methods specified.

Must be familiar with technical measurement, surveying, and reading and interpreting construction plans.
Able to effectively communicate information to co-workers and contractors.
Accurate in verbal and written communication.
Able to perform observation duties for construction projects, recording data, taking measurements, and verify activities & quantities in relation to plan and specification documents.
A team player and understands the need to maintain client confidentiality of all project work.
Associate degree in Construction Technology, Industrial Technology, or Engineering Technology from a technical college or institution. Significant relevant experience in a similar operation or within the firm may offset the educational requirement.
More extensive survey or CAD experience is a plus
