Experience with Allison transmissions, Davie 4 and ESA software a plus
Employee is exposure to loud noises, heavy machinery, moving equipment, oil, debris, solvents, smokes, gasses, fumes and aggregate materials.
Employee constantly uses eye/hand coordination, near vision and hearing.
Must be proficient with computer and program systems
Ability to diagnose and trouble shoot electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical systems
Employee frequently stands, walks, climbs, kneels, bends, reaches, lifts up to 50 lbs, carries up to 50 lbs, pushes, pulls and utilizes manual dexterity, fine motor skills, gross motor skills, far vision and color discernment
Ability to use power tools, welders, cutting torches/chains and various safety devices
Ability to work well with others in a team environment
Required to follow all BURNCO policies and procedures
3-5 years of Heavy Duty Truck Mechanic experience required
Ability to pass MVR (clean driving record)
Proper Preventative Maintenance
Good working knowledge of mechanics as related to truck and general maintenance
Required PPE includes safety shoes above ankles, safety vests, safety glasses, ear plugs and hard hats. Additional PPE requirements needed for special jobs such as welding, repairing, etc.
Ability to read, write and communicate in English
