Business development duties include leading efforts in the ND public works market, identifying new clients, pursuing strategic opportunities, overseeing proposal development, monitoring municipal funding cycles, and cultivating long‑term relationships with agencies, councils, and community partners.
Civil Science seeks an experienced Public Works Division Manager to lead its public works practice in North Dakota, reporting to the Area Manager and overseeing project managers, engineers, surveyors, and support staff. This role is ideal for a licensed engineer who excels in team leadership, business development, and technical excellence.
Candidates must hold a North Dakota Professional Engineer license, a bachelor's degree in civil engineering, and at least 12 years of experience with public works and civil infrastructure projects such as water, sewer, storm sewer, and land development. A valid driver’s license, ability to pass background and driving‑record checks, and physical capability to work on construction sites and lift up to 50 lb are also required.
