Assist with product configuration and quoting for strategic bids and sales opportunities.
Investigate / troubleshoot specific customer or product problems or marketing issues and propose solutions and changes that may be required for satisfactory resolution.
Write and present technical papers on the application and use of company products at industry conferences and exhibitions.
Review specifications, plans and other customer documents to assure proper application and operation of the company's products and systems.
Provide advanced technical services to customers and in support of the company relating to the use, operation and maintenance of the company's products and systems with particular emphasis on the hardware, connections, firmware, software, and communications capabilities.
Comply with all work rules, including but not limited to, the Company's safety and attendance policies.
As required, provide training to company employees, sales representatives and customers.
Assist the Department Managers with the development of promotional literature/documents, and product instruction books.
As required, represent the company at national and regional trade associations, conferences and exhibitions.
Assist the Department Managers to identify and develop marketing specifications for potential new product offerings and enhancements to existing products and systems.
Review and verify customers control settings for application and calculation accuracy.
Troubleshooting over the phone, asks the right questions and talks individual through problem to solution.
Work closely with the Department Managers, Regional Sales & Application Managers, and company Reps to develop and refine solutions utilizing Beckwith control products as well as solutions that include other Hubbell products such as capacitor banks.
As required, assist the sales force with the preparation and conducting of technical presentations and demonstrations to gain acceptance by the customer.
Assist Product Management in creating and maintaining product lifecycle and product roadmap documentation and create design documentation for new features to be implemented as part of the Design Review process. This includes Multi-Generational Product Plans, Product Requirement Documents and Marketing Requirements Documents.

Electric Power Utility previous experience with Distribution controls is highly preferred.

Knowledge and experience in electric utility communication schemes required for SCADA, system automation and other energy management systems is preferred.
Application, design or product engineering experience.
Knowledge of the company's products and services and their application in the generation, transmission and distribution of electrical power.
Ability to meet and work with customers at all levels within the organization.
Training and firsthand knowledge of hardware, firmware, and software requirements to integrate IED's into electric utility energy management, automation and control systems.
Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, preference for BSEE, or equivalent experience.
