  • Assist in reviewing environmental monitoring reports prior to regulator submission.
  • Assist with data entry, analysis, and preparation of summary materials for internal stakeholders.
  • Track and monitor budgets, highlighting variances or risks to the team.
  • Assist with the management of SECURE’s groundwater monitoring portfolio, including data tracking and field coordination.
  • Research and interpret applicable regulations and acts, identifying relevance to SECURE’s operations.
  • Prepare and issue quote requests for consultants; assist with vendor selection processes.
  • Liaise with consultants and laboratories to develop monitoring program budgets and coordinate deliverables.
  • Format PDF only (no Word, Google Docs, or separate files)
  • Develop a plan to ensure compliance with Remedial Action Plan commitments through the Alberta Energy Regulator’s online submission system (OneStop).
  • Support updates to the 5-year Asset Retirement Obligation (ARO) budget by capturing ancillary costs.
  • Provide administrative and organizational support for ongoing environmental projects.

  • Strong technical and analytical skills, with proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
  • Complete a Medical and/or Alcohol & Drug test if the role is considered safety sensitive.
  • Be legally entitled to work in Canada (Citizen, PR, or valid work permit).
  • Adaptable and resourceful, with a strong ability to collaborate.
  • Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Currently pursuing a degree or diploma in Environmental Sciences, Environmental Engineering, Chemistry, Hydrogeology, or a related discipline (minimum one year completed).
  • Professional communication skills, including the ability to interact with regulatory agencies, consultants, and internal stakeholders.
  • Be enrolled in a post-secondary institution and available from May to August.
  • Science background recommended with interest in environmental monitoring and compliance.
