The Leasing Associate is responsible for leasing, marketing, and maintaining positive resident relations. The role includes handling lease signings and acting as the landlord’s representative for property owners.
- Respond to phone and online inquiries and schedule virtual, self‑guided, or in‑person tours.
- Greet and qualify prospects, assist with applications and deposits, and ensure Fair Housing compliance.
- Maintain an updated availability report and process applications with credit and rental‑history checks.
- Obtain Community Manager approval and follow up with applicants on their status.
- Show apartments, close sales, prepare units for move‑ins, secure signatures, and provide community orientation.
- Maintain an active social‑media presence to boost property visibility and engagement.
- Address resident complaints, questions, and requests promptly to promote satisfaction and retention.
- Generate leads, set appointments, conduct tours, and manage show rooms to close sales.
- Implement marketing strategies within budget, including competitive rates, referrals, promotions, and outreach.
- Plan and host resident events, attend after‑hours functions, and act as a host when needed.
- Complete all paperwork for leases, move‑ins, check‑outs, and peak periods in a timely manner.
- Participate in weekly and daily goal‑setting meetings.
- Collaborate with the maintenance team to ensure prompt resolution of resident service requests.

Candidates should have an associate’s degree or equivalent, or six months to one year of related experience, along with proficiency in Microsoft Office and property‑management software. A valid driver’s license is required.
The position may require extended periods of sitting at a desk, climbing stairs, and occasional lifting of items up to 20 pounds. Work is primarily performed in an office environment, though some tasks may be conducted outdoors and involve exposure to bright lights, noise, and other distractions.
