Description

The position leads the development of strategic delivery plans, influences strategy implementation, and manages key stakeholder relationships and resources to meet company objectives, compliance, and regulatory frameworks while driving commercial practices and operational productivity. It ensures the programme aligns with the overall vision and delivers tangible improvements.

• Lead coordination and delivery of a major programme, overseeing strategy implementation and alignment with vision and objectives.
• Define and implement the programme delivery environment, covering people, organization, processes, information, and technology.
• Assemble a project team with appropriate skills, experience, and technical competency, including external specialists.
• Improve performance from the bid baseline by optimizing resources and evaluating activities, systems, and methodologies.
• Own executive team relationships, ensuring efficient governance, organizational support, and achievement of strategic priorities.
• Manage client relationships, communication, and constructive challenge as the primary CRM contact.
• Act as the public face of the programme, chairing executive steering group meetings.
• Lead and maintain high standards in safety, quality, cost, programme, sustainability, governance, risk, stakeholder management, and compliance.
• Oversee development and maintenance of programme documentation, including processes, plans, reports, registers, and lessons learned.
• Create and nurture a high‑performing, inclusive team environment that encourages contribution and recognition.
• Promote quality and service excellence in all programme interactions.
• Ensure effective risk management with appropriate actions and treatments.
• Communicate broader business strategy to the programme team and promote related initiatives.
• Network and leverage business Centres of Excellence, fostering knowledge sharing.
• Ensure commercial and ethical viability, influencing business objectives and compliance, including debt collection.
• Build and maintain internal and external relationships to foster growth and expand networks.
• Provide thought leadership and expertise in programme management and execution.
• Champion Mace’s safety culture through visible behaviours, lessons learned, safety moments, tours, and the HSW framework.
• Collaborate towards net‑zero carbon transition, identifying and managing carbon emissions and reductions during delivery.
