Material Logistics Coordinator

Description

The Materials Logistics Coordinator ensures inventory accuracy and manages the flow of materials for construction projects while applying 5S and Lean principles.

• Establish daily schedules and prioritize materials to meet internal and external customer requirements.
• Support project teams with changing needs.
• Inspect, receive, and correctly store incoming materials in a timely manner.
• Train employees on proper handling, loading, and unloading techniques for product transport.
• Review shipments and collaborate with other departments to ensure on‑time and accurate deliveries.
• Schedule special and periodic inventory activities, including cycle counting and year‑end counts.
• Identify low‑cost, high‑quality suppliers and reliable vendors.
• Investigate non‑traditional sources to drive down purchasing costs.
• Negotiate pricing and payment terms with vendors.
• Maintain regular and predictable attendance.
• Adhere to the Company’s Code of Business Conduct and Ethics and industry‑specific professional standards.

Requirements

Ideal candidates hold a high school diploma or GED, have at least two years of materials management experience and two years in electrical construction, and demonstrate strong safety focus, MS Office proficiency, and excellent communication and organizational skills.

• High school diploma or GED required; technical or trade school coursework preferred.
• Minimum two years of experience in a materials management role and two years of electrical construction trade experience.
• One to two years of construction industry experience preferred.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Strong commitment to safety and excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Strong leadership, team‑building, and organizational abilities; capable of handling multiple responsibilities autonomously.
