- Work directly with our clients to achieve their sustainable transport needs
- Oversee projects budget and financial performance
- Work collaboratively with the Liveable Places team and our colleagues in the wider Mobility team and the wider WSP business to achieve our aims and objectives
- Support our Regional Lead within the North along with the team in our Birmingham office and wider Liveable Places team
- Act as Project Manager/ Director on a wide range of projects whilst helping to grow and develop our work with clients
- Undertake technical preparation, review and checking of deliverables within the team
- Engage with clients and project stakeholders.
- Stay informed about industry trends and best practice
- Leading project teams in the delivery of a varied portfolio of work, and alongside colleagues in other service lines to deliver large multi-disciplinary projects.

- Knowledge of current transport policy and standards
- A proven ability to support with winning public sector work and support our growing offer across the region
- Chartered membership of a relevant professional body (desirable)
- A civil engineering degree, transport planning degree or equivalent
- Proven ability to lead and manage project teams and individuals
- Proven track record in project management and financial control
- Transport, traffic signals, road safety, parking or traffic engineering experience
- Good spoken and written communication skills. With the ability to liaise with others including public sector officials, members of the public and other senior colleagues
