Assist with maintenance, service and replacement or repair of motor control centers, switches, breakers, switchboard components, fixtures, branch circuit wiring, transformers, motors, BAS wiring.
Assist the Journeyman Electrical Technicians to service, repair and maintain a wide variety of Electrical systems including fire alarm, building controls and data.
Installing conduit systems.
Assist with electrical installations, including EV charging infrastructure, lighting upgrades, panel replacements, service upgrades and small projects.
Perform assigned tasks and responsibilities efficiently and effectively under the direction of the Service Manager and Journeyman Electrical Technicians.
Assisting with shut-down, lock-out, and start-up of major building equipment.

Able to work at heights with all necessary safety training completed.
Experience with building automation, plumbing and HVAC/R considered an asset.
Strong work ethic with impressive electrical problem solving/troubleshooting skills.
Knowledge of the Canadian electrical code.
Electrical troubleshooting knowledge with a desire to learn how HVAC and plumbing systems operate.
Previous electrical experience in the commercial, industrial, institutional, multi-family residential and healthcare sectors considered an asset.
Safety conscience individual who respects and adheres to all safety measures whilst on site.
Ability to adhere and uphold the safety protocols and measures put in place by Modern Niagara to ensure the safety of all employees
Class 5 license with clean abstract required.
Registered as an apprentice in Alberta.
Excellent communication skills, both written and oral.
Ability to work on own initiative but also within a team.
