Project Engineer - Electrical

Description

The Project Engineer will schedule subcontractors, verify material quality, complete QA/QC checklists, manage submittals and RFIs, prepare and finalize official documents, generate reports, maintain backup files, close out final quantities, negotiate extra work, handle special projects, and perform other duties assigned by the Project Management Department.

• Schedule subcontractors on site.
• Receive and verify material quality.
• Complete QA/QC checklists.
• Manage submittals for material approvals.
• Process RFIs and general inquiries.
• Prepare, route, and finalize official project documents.
• Generate project reports as needed.
• Maintain backup documentation.
• Close out final quantities.
• Propose and negotiate extra work.
• Execute special projects within Project Management.

Requirements

Candidates should have a high school diploma (a bachelor's degree in civil engineering, construction management, or a related field is preferred), at least two years of civil, electrical, or industrial construction experience, strong analytical and detail‑oriented skills, excellent written and verbal communication, proficiency with Microsoft Office, Procore, and Viewpoint, ability to thrive in a fast‑paced environment, and experience with Arizona DOT projects.

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field preferred; high school diploma required.
• Minimum 2 years experience in civil, electrical, or industrial construction.
• Strong analytical and detail‑oriented skills.
• Excellent written and oral communication abilities.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Procore, and Viewpoint.
• Ability to thrive in a fast‑paced environment.
• Experience with Arizona DOT projects.
