Additionally, this role will oversee quality assurance processes to ensure compliance with internal standards and industry best practices and conduct technical audits of select projects to assess adherence and identify improvement opportunities.

Can act as the firm's lead technical expert across all aspects of construction project delivery. Develop and implement a company-wide technical operations manual that defines best practices, QA/QS protocols, project controls, and client service standards. They can also lead the identification, evaluation, and standardization of project delivery tools, templates, and methodologies. Establish a framework for continuous improvement and innovation across the Gardiner & Theobald’s service offerings.

The ideal candidate can also design and lead a structured training program for project managers, cost managers, and other team members with a focus on consistent project delivery excellence. They can also deliver workshops, seminars, and in-office trainings across our North America offices. In close collaboration with executive leadership, regional directors, and project teams, they will tailor best practices to meet regional and sector-specific needs.

  • Directs Work- Providing direction, delegating, and removing obstacles to get work done
  • Lead identification, evaluation, and standardization of project delivery tools, templates, and methodologies
  • Create management and mentorship training
  • Collaborates- Work closely with executive leadership, regional directors, and PM teams to tailor best practices to sector and regional needs.
  • Act as the first lead technical expert across all aspects of a construction project
  • Develop and implement company-wide technical operation manual: define best practices, QA/QC protocols, project controls, and client service standards

  • Builds Effective Teams- Building strong-identity teams that apply their diverse skills and perspectives to achieve common goals

  • Bachelor’s degree in quantity surveying, construction, architecture, engineering, or a related field
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Experience in developing training programs, SOPs, or technical manuals to lead change and influence cross-functional teams
  • 15+ years’ experience in construction project delivery, preferably with owner's representative firms
  • Willing to travel frequently across North America (30%-50% of time)
  • Proficient in Microsoft Suite
  • Experience in Microsoft Project is a plus
  • 5+ years of experience in a leadership or technical oversight role
  • Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills
