Use appropriate paint and adhesive types for various surfaces.
Repair and maintain all painted surfaces, including preparing and installing various paints and wall coverings (e.g., wallpaper, vinyl).
Assist with any special projects assigned by supervisors, including carpentry work and room maintenance tasks like caulking bathtubs and grouting tile.
Complete all paperwork and closing duties before leaving and review status of assignments with the Supervisor.
Ensure proper ventilation and storage of flammable and toxic materials.

Ability to interpret manufacturer literature for the installation, preparation, use, and upkeep of materials.
Minimum of 3 years of experience as a commercial painter.
Physical ability to transport 10 lbs. regularly, frequently lift/move up to 50 lbs., and occasionally lift/move more than 100 lbs.
Proficient in sheetrock repair and framing techniques.
Exposure to fumes, odors, dust, mites, and chemicals.
Fluency in job-related English, both verbal and non-verbal, and ability to perform basic mathematical calculations.
Computer literate.
Variable temperature conditions (extreme heat or cold).
Working knowledge of diverse types of paints, stains, finishes, and wall coverings.
Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to follow instructions and prioritize tasks.
Any building trade license/certificate from the state of Florida.
