Requirements

KCI Technologies is hiring an Entertainment Engineer – in‑Training to join our team in Woodcliff Lake, NJ. The role involves conventional plan work, investigations, surveys, structures or equipment, including design and development, material testing, specification preparation, process studies, research investigations, and report preparation. The engineer will collaborate with internal and external partners on multidisciplinary projects, review input from Project or Technical Managers, and adjust work products as needed, while delivering work on schedule and within budget. Experience across all design phases and construction administration is preferred, as is field experience and an Engineer‑in‑Training (EIT) certification within one year. Structural engineering training is required, and the candidate must be able to multitask on building‑related structural design for concrete, wood, and steel structures.

A valid driver’s license and the ability to maintain required certifications are required. Pre‑employment drug screening and background checks are conditions of employment, and motor vehicle checks may be required depending on the role.

• 0–2 years of engineering experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering from an ABET‑accredited program.
• Proficient with MicroStation, AutoCAD, and Revit.
• Strong skill in Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Effective communicator with technical writing ability.
• Detail‑oriented and highly organized.
• Strong problem‑solving and critical‑thinking skills.
• Prior internships or engineering work experience preferred.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to maintain certifications.
• Engineer‑in‑Training (EIT) certification preferred (required within 1 year).
